For Clinical Radiation Oncology Physicists 

 

Membership Categories

 

Membership in this Society is divided into six (6) classes: Full Membership, Associate Membership, Junior Membership, Emeritus Membership, Honorary Membership and Corporate Membership.

 

 

Full Membership ($125.00)

Full Membership is reserved for clinical radiation oncology physicists and radiation oncologists who satisfy the requirements set forth in any one of the following paragraphs (1) through (2):

 

(1) A clinical physicist who is clinically active in radiation oncology physics; or  

 

(2) A radiation oncologist who is clinically active in radiation oncology.

 

Junior Membership ($75.00)

Junior Membership is automatically offered only to residents and fellows in full-time training in clinical radiation oncology physics in the U.S. upon written notification by the training program director on a form authorized by the Board of Directors of the Society. A Junior Member must upgrade to Full Membership in the Society, whichever is applicable within 30 days of completion of training or fellowship. A Junior Membership shall automatically terminate if such application is not submitted within that thirty (30)-day period. 

 

Associate Membership ($15.00)

Associate Membership is reserved for non-clinical radiation oncology physics specialist with recognized interests in the aims of the Society, including, but not by way of limitation, radiation oncologists and radiation oncology nurses who elect this class of membership.

 

Emeritus Membership ($0.00)

Emeritus Membership may be conferred by the Board of Directors upon request to the Secretary/Treasurer of any Active, Associate, Corresponding, Affiliate, Allied or International Member who has been a member for at least five (5) of the prior seven (7) years and who has voluntarily retired from active practice or who has been retired from active practice for at least one (1) year by reason of physical disability. Emeritus Membership status will be terminated should the member resume active practice.

 

Honorary Membership ($0.00)

Honorary Membership may be conferred by the Board of Directors on those individuals who have made significant contributions to the objectives of the Society.

 

Corporate Membership (starting at $1800)

Corporate Membership may be conferred by the Board of Directors, in its discretion, on those organizations, including commercial enterprises, which are involved in a substantial way with activities or products having a significant connection with the purposes of the Society.
